Ongoing collaborations with composers
Kati Agocs
I'm looking forward to giving the premiere performance of a new solo piano piece written for me by this exciting young American-Hungarian composer (more about Kati on her new web site here!) this year in Stockholm.
George Flynn
A couple of years ago Kenneth Derus sent me a huge, violent, and monstrously complex piano score by an American composer I had not heard of at the time, George Flynn. I was blown away with the music - "Trinity" is a great masterpiece - and have since performed it several times in Sweden and the US and recorded it for BIS. George is currently working on a new solo piece for me, "Northern Lights".
Fredrik Hedelin
I've had the pleasure to work with Fredrik in several musical constellations, including a number of performances of his clever "The stubborn listener" for piano and computer some years ago. This year I will premiere a new solo piano piece he is writing for me. Here is a brief bio of Fredrik!
Christer Lindwall
Together with Jonny Axelsson we premiered Christer's large, subtle and complex duo piece "Rot, gelbe, schwarz" for piano, gongs and bass cimbalom in Malmö earlier this year. Plans for a solo piano piece are there - I'm waiting eagerly.
Kent Olofsson
I've worked a lot with Kent's solo piano pieces over the years, and recorded "Treccia". This year Jonny Axelsson and I made the first performance of "Decora" for piano, percussion, and (as usual with Kent) wonderfully employed computer generated sounds. A collaboration to be continued...
Other collaborations
Cristina Caprioli
I was part of two productions with this wonderfully creative choreographer: "2lips" and "houses" (playing Ligeti and Kurtág/Sorabji). More about cristina caprioli artificial project here!
